Musing on the Writing Desert

April 28 2021

The last week or two have been a bit of a writing desert for me, or so I thought. Today, while in the midst of a writing frenzy, wanting to pour words onto the page, I realized that perhaps I don’t need to beat myself up when the words aren’t being written down. I recognized that even when the words were not being put on the page, I was still writing; that writing is way more than words on a page; that as long as I was really, truly living from my core I WAS writing; that for “the writer” the boundaries between life and the written word blur and to write well we need to live in the fullest way we can. And living deeply is a form of writing.

  1. Hi Mary,
You sent me a message last night on a forum we both share. You mentioned a 1988 jd tractor. For some reason that site will not let me reply.
You have my email address now..

    I am enjoying your adventures!
